8E Ice maker sensor error
The Samsung 8E error means the ice maker sensor detects a problem. Check freezer temperature
The freezer should be 0°F (-18°C). If it's warmer than 5°F, the ice maker won't produce ice. Adjust the thermostat and wait 24 hours.

Inspect the water supply line
Find the water line running to the back of the fridge. Make sure the shutoff valve is open. Check for kinks or ice blockage in the tubing.

Check for frozen fill tube
The small tube that fills the ice mold often freezes. You can thaw it with a hair dryer on low heat directed at the back of the freezer where the tube enters.

Reset the ice maker
Most ice makers have a reset button (small hole on the side or bottom of the unit). Press and hold it for 10 seconds. This forces a new ice-making cycle.

Check the ice level sensor/arm
If there's a wire arm, make sure it moves up and down freely. If there's an optical sensor, clean it with a soft cloth — ice dust can block it.

Replace the ice maker assembly
If the ice maker module doesn't cycle after a reset, the internal motor has likely failed. The assembly usually unbolts with 2-4 screws.
